Eligibility Criteria and selection procedure of Indian Air Force Airmen




Indian Air Force has clearly mentioned that the recruitment is being conducted only for the post of Airmen, this recruitment is not for the post of Commissioned Officer/ Pilots and Navigators. Application Fee

Examination Fee for the Airmen Exam is Rs.250/- is to be paid by the candidate while registering for the online examination.

Mode of Payment

Applicants can make payment by using Debit Cards/ Credit Cards/Internet Banking through the payment gateway. The examination fee can also be paid by Challan payment at any Axis Bank Branch.

Eligibility and Selection process for Air Force Candidates

Before applying for the Airmen application form, the candidate should ensure that he fulfills the eligibility criteria of the IAF selection procedure. Only Male candidates are allowed to fill the form.
Nationality: Indian/Nepalese

Age Limit: The candidates who fall under the age group of 17 to 21 are eligible to apply. Candidate born between 19 January 1999 and 01 January 2003 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.

Age Relaxation: Indian Air Force has not provided any relaxation in upper age limit to any special community.
Marital Status: Unmarried
Selection Procedure of Indian Air Force
The process of Airmen Selection by the Indian Air Force has been described briefly.
Phase – I Online Examination
There will be an online Test For both Group ‘X’ Trades (except Education Instructor Trade) & Group ‘Y’ (except Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF(P), IAF(S) and Musician Trades)
Phase – II Physical Fitness Test
Soon, after the declaration of the result of Phase-I test, all candidates shortlisted for Phase II will be sent a new admit card on their registered e-mail ID for phase – II test at an Airmen Selection Centre.(1)Physical Fitness Test PFT.(2)Adaptability Test- I (For both Group ‘ X’ & Group ‘Y’ Trades. (3) Adaptability Test- II (For both Group ‘ X’ & Group ‘Y’ Trades.
